CPN-UML senior leader Jhala Nath Khanal stated that factionalism in the party must end at the earliest to protect and promote national integrity.The former prime minister, meanwhile, also encouraged his cadres to prepare for the local elections supposed to be held by mid-December this year so that it could win majority seats.Khanal also lauded the budget for the new fiscal year 2016/17 and directed the cadres to make everyone aware of its importance on a national scale.


Speaking at the seventh municipal convention of the party’s Ratnanagar chapter in Chitwan district on Sunday, Khanal said disputes within the party might hamper the country’s fight for integrity.Khanal’s comments come at a time when the faction led by senior leader and former prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has been accusing the party Chairman KP Sharma Oli-led faction of taking decisions unilaterally.

Often, his songs were orchestrated with the sitar, harmonium and flute. He belongs to the first generation of Nepali singers who became professional singers. His songs have also been used in several movies and dramas across the country.Narayan Gopal Guruwacharya was born into a Newar family in Kilagal Tole, Kathmandu, on October 4, 1939 (18 Asoj, 1996 B.S.). His father was Asha Gopal Gurubacharya and mother was Ram Devi Guruwacharya. He had six brothers and four sisters.

Bimal suspicion on the police

Earlier, the autopsy report suggested that Gharti had died due to hanging, police said.Her autopsy was carried out at Kathmandu-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.According to the investigation team, the probe now has become more complex as both the polygraph test and the postmortem did not confirm their suspicion.Police said they looked into the phone details of the deceased and her boyfriend, Chaudhari. The couple had made 218 calls to each other in last one week.Rudra Narayan Chaudhari, who was taken in custody after his girlfriend Manisha Gharti Magar, the sister of national football team striker Bimal Gharti Magar, was found dead in a suspicious condition in Nawalparasi last Thursday, has “passed” a lie-detection test, police said.

Police Inspector Ram Prasad Pandey, who led the test on the suspect as a polygraph expert, said that Chaudhari was asked 11 questions.One of the questions was if he strangled the 17-year-old girl to death.

The comedian duo of Sitaram Kattel (Dhurmus) and Kunjana Ghimire (Suntali) of the weekly sitcom Meri Bassai were in the US in the middle of a two-and-a-half month tour when the Great Earthquake rattled Nepal on April 25.  The husband and wife have successfully rebuilt Pahari Basti, Danda Gaun, ward no 16, in Kavrepalanchok district, with the help of locals and volunteers by making earthquake-resistant houses for an Integrated Model Village.
